Particularly in the second quarter, GDP is estimated to increase by 6.61% over the same period last year, higher than the growth rate of 0.39% in the second quarter of 2020 and close to the growth rate of 6.73% in the second quarter of 2018 and 2018. 2019.

Regarding business activities, the General Statistics Office also said that the whole country had 11,300 newly established enterprises in June with a registered capital of 164,300 billion dong, down 2.5% in the number of enterprises but up 9.1% on registered capital.

Generally, in 6 months, there were 67,100 newly established enterprises with a total registered capital of 942,600 billion VND, the average registered capital of a newly established enterprise reached 14.1 billion VND.

The consumer price index (CPI) in June increased by 0.19% over the previous month and increased by 1.62% compared to December 2019. The increase is mainly due to the increase in the price of input materials according to the world price; electricity and water prices increase according to consumer demand.

In general, the average CPI in the first 6 months of 2021 increased by 1.47% compared to the same period in 2020. According to the General Statistics Office, this is the lowest increase since 2016.

Core inflation in June increased by 0.07% over the previous month and by 1.14% over the same period last year. Average core inflation in the first 6 months of 2021 increased by 0.87% over the same period in 2020.

Gold price index in June increased by 1.12% compared to the previous month; up 0.23% compared to December 2020 and up 12.37% over the same period in 2020.
