Taiwan reminds exporters of Phytosanitary Certificates (12/22/2022)
The Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei recently received a note from the Taiwan Epidemic Prevention and Control Authority (BAPHIQ) notifying about 45 shipments of Vietnamese plants and plant products for export. entering Taiwan did not meet the requirements of quarantine regulations.

The document of BAPHIQ noted that up to 23/45 shipments of fresh vegetables and raw wood when imported into Taiwan were not accompanied by a Phytosanitary Certificate (Deed).
This is inconsistent with the provisions of the International Standard for Phytosanitary Plants 7 (ISPM).
BAPHIQ noted that according to regulations, plant goods and plant products exported to Taiwan are required to be accompanied by a Phytosanitary Certificate issued by the Plant Quarantine Agency of Vietnam to be granted import clearance. export.
