Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Hoang Thi Hong Hanh - Chairman of the Trade Union of Industry and Trade emphasized: The 2023 Sports Festival is a practical activity among employees of the Industry and Trade sector in response to the Workers' Month of the year. 2023 and celebrate the 48 liberation of the South to reunify the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2023), 137 years of International Labor Day May 1 (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2023) ; 72 years of tradition of Vietnam's Industry and Trade, (May 14, 1951-2023) especially welcomes the 4th Trade Union Congress; The XXIV Provincial Trade Union Congress moves to the XIII Vietnam Trade Union Congress (Term of 2023 - 2028).

This sports festival attracts nearly 200 athletes from grassroots trade unions in the industry, athletes will participate in competitions in tug of war, badminton and football. This is a playground for union members, cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and grassroots trade unions to exchange sports with the motto "Happy and healthy", contributing to the well implementation of the agency's political tasks. units, enterprises and building a strong grassroots trade union. At the same time, the Sports Festival also aims to continue effectively implementing the campaigns "All people exercise their bodies following the example of great Uncle Ho", "Be healthy to build and defend the Fatherland".

The grassroots trade unions in the industry identify physical and sports activities to promote health, practical implementation for production and work workers in order to improve the spiritual life of workers.

During the time participating in the Sports Festival, the athletes participated in the competition with enthusiasm, fairness, objectivity and solidarity, strictly complying with the provisions of the Charter of the Sports Festival, the regulations of the Organizing Committee.
