On the morning of July 15, the Department of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Multilateral Trade Policy Department and the Trade Remedies Administration (Ministry of Industry and Trade) held a training conference to disseminate the basic contents of a number of trade agreements. Enterprises are updated on the situation of Vietnam's FTA negotiations; opportunities and room to take advantage of a number of new-generation free trade agreements such as CPTPP, EVFTA, UKVFTA, RCEP; Thai Binh's use of FTAs ​​and issues for the implementation of FTAs. The export markets of Thai Binh enterprises currently mainly include: Korea, the United States, China, Japan, the EU, ASEAN, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Russia and a few other countries with total export turnover. nearly 2.1 billion USD/year. Items with large export turnover are garments, footwear, components, spare parts, fibers and cotton towels, accounting for 98.8%, while agricultural products, aquatic products, and rice are exported from the province. only accounted for 1.2% of total export turnover. In fact, many businesses do not fully understand and have not taken full advantage of the export potential that FTAs ​​bring.
At the conference, businesses were also informed by experts from the Trade Remedies Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade on trade remedies. In particular, businesses are recommended to take some notes when carrying out import and export activities in countries that have signed FTAs ​​with Vietnam. In which, businesses need to soon complete the traceability system, the accounting book system; absolutely not participate in, abetting acts of origin fraud, illegal transshipment; collect and synthesize data and evidence of damage or increase in imports to protect the interests of enterprises.
