List of 41 items restricted to imports into Nigeria (08/09/2018)
In order to reduce foreign exchange reserves and protect domestic production, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has listened to a list of 41 items that can not be bought for foreign currency.

With the issuance of this policy, Nigerian businesses, unable to purchase foreign currency from the Nigerian central bank, to import from, have to balance themselves, or buy foreign currency at the free foreign exchange studios. This measure significantly limits the export of countries to Nigeria, including a number of key export items of Vietnam such as rice, vegetables, textiles - garments etc.

Recommendation of the Vietnam Trade Office in Nigeria:

1) Phishing in Nigeria in particular and Africa in general, occurs frequently. Ask domestic businesses not to transfer money first, in any way when the partner suggested. Examples are the cost of obtaining import-export permits, brokerage fees, attorneys fees, etc. (these are fraudulent forms);
