Kaohsiung Foodshow is an international specialized fair organized by Taiwan Bureau of International Trade (BOFT) and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) for 16 consecutive years. According to information from the Organizing Committee, the 2022 Fair attracted the participation of 279 businesses from countries including: Asia (Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia); Europe (Belgium, Germany) and some Latin American and African countries, exhibiting at 478 standard booths. According to statistics of the Organizing Committee, the 2-in-1 Fair Chain has welcomed a total of 14,739 visitors, of which domestic visitors accounted for 14,574 turns, international visitors only 165 turns. The Vietnamese pavilion participating in the 2022 Fair attracts a large number of visitors to visit and buy goods. The exhibition and exhibition scope of the fair is suitable to the needs, capabilities and strengths of Vietnam, which are agricultural products and food. This is the 6th year in a row that Vietnam has its own booth at the fair.
Taiwan has a need to import some agricultural products and foods, especially raw materials. Vietnam has the ability to supply agricultural products and food, including raw materials. Therefore, Food Kaohsiung is still a suitable fair for Vietnamese businesses to approach, promote and find opportunities to export agricultural products and food to Taiwan.
