On September 15, 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Trade received Note No. 14-572 of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) warning about Vietnam's textile and garment products enjoying preferential export tariffs to the Union. The Eurasian Economy (EAEU) under the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union (VN-EAEU FTA) is at risk of exceeding the trigger level to apply a defense measure in 2020 according to regulations. the VN-EAEU FTA.
Specifically, Vietnam's dresses, dresses, and women's clothing (HS codes 6104.41, 6104.42, 6104.43, 6104.44, 6104.49, 6204.42, 6204.44, 6204.49) of Vietnam are exported to the EAEU during the period from January 2020 to January. 7/2020 has reached 79.4% of the threshold set for 2020.
