- Location: Online at the meeting points in Vietnam and Canada via Zoom software.
2. Participants: Department of Trade Promotion, Department of Foreign Market Development, Vietnam Trade Office in Canada (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Representative of the Canadian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, Representative of the Canadian Trade Services Agency, Representative of the Canadian Export Development Agency, Representative of TFO Canada; Representatives of localities, industry associations and enterprises.
3. Objectives:
- Update the situation and prospects of the Canadian market, including consumption characteristics, technical regulations and import procedures;
- Guide Vietnamese enterprises to effectively utilize the CPTPP Agreement, especially the rules of origin to enjoy tariff preferences;
- Introduce support mechanisms from the Canadian Government and trade promotion organizations to promote cooperation with Vietnam;
- Provide practical experience from Vietnamese enterprises that have exported to Canada;
- Establish a platform to connect businesses of the two countries, promote trade and expand export markets.
