Coppel is the largest retail group in Mexico with a distribution system of 1,804 stores in Mexico, 30 stores in Argentina, with revenue in 2023 reaching over 13.5 billion USD. In 2023, Coppel imported 15,455 tons of goods to serve their distribution system. Footwear of all kinds is one of Coppel's main products. 507 stores sell shoes out of a total of more than 1,800 distribution stores, in 2023, nearly 60 million pairs of shoes of all kinds were sold. 36% of the shoes sold are imported, mainly from China. Currently, Chinese shoes are an item being investigated for anti-dumping by the Mexican Ministry of Economy. Therefore, from October 1 to October 4, 2024, Coppel Group will send a working group of 4 people to Vietnam to find suppliers of various footwear products and large companies selling raw materials for the footwear industry in Vietnam.
Coppel is especially interested in large footwear manufacturers or trading companies with design and product quality control departments and companies selling footwear industry materials.
