Implementing the National Program on Trade Promotion in 2024, the Trade Promotion Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) in coordination with the Vietnam Trade Office in India organized a Silk Trade Delegation in India, with specific information as follows:
1. Objectives
+ Create trade connections, promote business opportunities and export Silk to the Indian market through B2B meetings, and seminars between Vietnamese enterprises and import, wholesale, retail and Silk production partners in India
+ Introduce Vietnam's Silk production and export potential to Indian importers through sample products, catalogs, etc.
+ Directly grasp the export market demand, consumer tastes and import and export regulations and conditions of the Indian market for Vietnamese Silk products.
2. Scale: About 17 - 20 enterprises.
3. Time: Expected from September 23 - September 29, 2024
4. Location: In Newdelhi and Mumbai - India
5. Industry: Silk (products including silk fibers, various fibers, silk fabrics, accessories, scarves, silk carpets, silk interior decorations, costumes, etc.).
6. Participants: Enterprises of all economic sectors established according to regulations related to the silk, textile, garment and accessories industry...
7. Criteria for selecting participating enterprises: (1) Production and business capacity of the enterprise; (2) International trade transaction capacity of personnel participating in the Delegation; (3) Industry suitable for the objectives of the Delegation Program; (4) Objectives of participation of agencies, organizations, enterprises; (5) Registration documents submitted on time as prescribed.

9. Costs
a) State support for enterprises participating in the Delegation
- Each enterprise selected to participate in the Delegation (with production and export business capacity, with the goal of promoting the export of goods from Vietnam to the Indian market, personnel participating in the Delegation with the ability to conduct international trade transactions and submit a complete registration dossier on time) will be supported by the State with airfare for the route Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City - New Delhi - Mumbai - Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City for 01 representative of the enterprise and some costs for organizing trade programs according to the provisions of Circular No. 11/2019/TT-BCT dated July 30, 2019 of the Ministry of Finance guiding the implementation of foreign trade promotion activities under the National Trade Promotion Program.
- Other costs are the responsibility of the enterprise.
b) Deposit fee
- Each participating agency or enterprise deposits a deposit to ensure participation in the Delegation if selected 22,000,000 VND/01 person (Twenty-two million VND/01 person) into the following account:

- Payment method for deposit is as follows:
+ For enterprises that have completed their registration procedure obligations but are not selected to participate in the program, 100% of the deposit will be refunded.
+ For enterprises that have completed their registration procedure obligations, have been selected to participate in the program but do not participate and notify the Organizing Committee after August 23, 2024, the deposit will not be refunded. The Organizing Committee will use this deposit to cover the costs of organizing the program.
+ For enterprises that have completed the registration procedure, have been selected to participate in the Delegation, have submitted a complete application for an Indian entry visa in the Delegation program but have not been granted a visa, the Organizing Committee will refund 100% of the deposit and the enterprise must bear the cost of refunding the airfare (if the Organizing Committee has booked the ticket for the enterprise).
+ For enterprises that have participated in the program and have properly and fully complied with the regulations of the Organizing Committee, the deposit will be refunded 100% after the end of the program.
+ For enterprises that have participated in the program but have not properly and fully complied with the regulations of the Organizing Committee, the deposit will not be refunded.
10. Obligations of agencies and enterprises participating in the program.
- Complete the registration form to participate in the Delegation and strictly comply with the rules and regulations of the Organizing Committee of the program.
- After the end of the program, within 10 days: Enterprises participating in the program must send to the Department of Trade Promotion: Report on results (according to the prescribed form); passport page 01, page with Indian entry visa and page with entry and exit stamps in Vietnam, India (copy), boarding pass in Vietnam and India to the Department of Trade Promotion.
11. Requirements for registration documents to join the Delegation
- Certificate of business registration, establishment license (certified copy or stamped by the unit).
- Application form to join the Delegation (Form 1, attached).
- Registration form of the list of personnel participating in the Delegation (Form 2, attached).
Note: When registering to participate, enterprises must send an additional soft copy of the Profile to the address: vietrade_danang@vietrade.gov.vn
12. Deadline for registration
Registration documents must be sent to the Department of Trade Promotion (Central Highlands Trade Promotion Corporation) before August 10, 2024. Due to the limited number of supported enterprises, the Department of Trade Promotion will officially notify enterprises after the list of participating enterprises is approved.
