Implementing the tasks assigned by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Decision No. 975/QD-TTg dated August 19, 2023 of the Prime Minister on establishing the Coordinating Council for the Northern Midlands and Mountainous Region, in order to increase Strengthen trade promotion, link production, connect supply and demand, promote the image and brand of local industries and products in the Northern Midlands and Mountains, and support businesses to exploit To effectively exploit the free trade agreements that Vietnam has signed to develop products, diversify markets and supply chains, and promote import and export, the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized the following conference:
1. Conference name: Conference on trade promotion and import-export development in the Northern Midlands and Mountainous regions.
2. Time (expected): From 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 29, 2024 (Friday).
3. Location: Live in Lao Cai city, Lao Cai province combined online on Zoom platform and livestream on Facebook fanpage of Trade Promotion Department
4. Conference scale: About 300 delegates from agencies and businesses.
5. Participants:
- Leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade;
- Leaders of People's Committees of provinces in the Northern Midlands and Mountains;
- Leaders of relevant units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade and representatives of relevant ministries/sectors and Vietnamese Trade Offices abroad;

- Leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade, representatives of agencies/units/centers for investment and trade promotion in localities in the Northern Midlands and Mountains;

- Industry associations and business associations;

- Representatives of agencies and organizations supporting foreign business;
- Manufacturing, import-export, trade, service enterprises...
5. Expected Conference Program: Attached.
On the sidelines of the Conference, tables displaying typical products of localities in the Region were organized to support product promotion and trade connections.
