Senegal is a West African country with a stable political situation, open trade policies, and the Dakar seaport as a transit point for goods for landlocked countries in the subregion. Each year, the country has to import from 800,000 to 1 million tons of rice, of which more than 90% is 100% broken rice. This country is also a supplier of some important input materials such as raw cashew nuts, cotton, animal feed, and seafood. According to data from the Vietnam Customs Department, in 2023, trade between Vietnam and Senegal will reach 107.46 million USD, an increase of 52.4% compared to 2022, of which our country's export turnover to this market will reach 37.8 million USD, mainly agricultural products and food. Vietnam's import turnover from Senegal in 2023 will reach 69.66 million USD, mainly raw cashew nuts (up to 60.77 million USD), fish meal for animal feed, seafood, seeds, oil fruits, cotton, etc. In 2024, our country's export turnover to Senegal will reach 43.91 million USD, an increase of 16.1% compared to 2023. The main export items include pepper (reaching 11.28 million USD), vegetables and fruits (4.97 million USD), confectionery and cereal products (2.5 million USD), rice (1.77 million USD), seafood (1 million USD), etc. In the first 4 months of this year alone, export turnover to this market has made a leap, reaching 43.43 million USD, equal to the whole year of 2024, of which rice exports reached 25.67 million USD, pepper 6.8 million USD, vegetables and fruits 1.7 million USD, confectionery, auto parts, motorbikes, seafood...

Information includes company name, copy of business registration certificate, address, field of operation, specific import and export needs, participants and send to the Trade Office's email address dz@moit.gov.vn. Registration deadline: No later than Tuesday, May 13, 2025. The Trade Office will provide the link and password before the event takes place.
