India is the second largest country in the world in the field of food processing. The food processing industry in India currently contributes 14% of manufacturing GDP. The Indian government has issued friendly preferential policies to develop this field, allowing 100% FDI investment under the automatic route in the food processing sector.
Indus Food 2024 is a showcase of food and beverage products, processing and packaging technology. The fair promotes business activities in the food and beverage sector by connecting buyers and sellers through business exchange activities and thematic discussion sessions. Product groups displayed at the fair include: confectionery; dried fruits; tea & coffee; wine & alcoholic beverages; non-alcoholic beverages; beans, grains, sugar, flour; fresh vegetables; oils and oilseeds; vegan food; Cattle meat, poultry, seafood.
Indus Food is a prestigious fair held annually since 2015 under the sponsorship of the Indian Ministry of Industry and Trade. Indus Food Fair 2023 has attracted more than 600 businesses to display products at the fair on an area of 26,000 m2. With more than 6,000 buyers from India and over 80 countries around the world, the estimated sales value is up to 1 billion USD at the fair. Attending the Indus Food fair is a good opportunity for Vietnamese food processing businesses to learn about and penetrate the Indian market, looking for Indian and international buyers/sellers. The organizing committee will sponsor a number of participating businesses as international buyers.
