India is currently the fourth largest steel import market of Vietnam in 2024, showing strong potential for cooperation between the two countries in this field. Attending the 6th India Steel Fair will be an important opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to explore the market, approach strategic partners and update new trends in the industry. This is an important event for enterprises, manufacturers and stakeholders in the steel industry to meet, exchange, discuss and establish cooperative relationships. The exhibition not only introduces new technologies, innovative products, advanced equipment in the steel industry but also focuses on development trends, challenges and opportunities in the steel industry. The event will include a series of events such as plenary conferences, seminars, business networking sessions and B2B, B2G, G2G trade meetings along with a global Buyer - Seller meeting program. In addition, the program also includes activities such as factory tours, technology demonstrations and experiencing breakthrough solutions from more than 200 Indian and international exhibitors.
The Indian steel industry plays an important role in promoting investment, industrial development and job creation in India. As the second largest steel producing country in the world, the Indian steel industry currently contributes about 2.5% of GDP, creating jobs for about 2.5 million people, directly and indirectly. In the financial year 2023–2024, crude steel production reached 144.3 million tonnes, up 13.4% and finished steel output reached 139.15 million tonnes, up 13% over the previous year.
In 2025, the Fair will take place from 24 to 26 April 2025 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India.
