Participating in exhibitions and transactions at the 136th China Import-Export Fair (Canton Fair) (taking place from October 31 - November 4, 2024) is an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to expand sales channels. , participating in the supply chain and value chain of food and agricultural products, effectively promoting brands and products, promoting business development, exchanging experiences, finding customers, expanding markets in China.
1. Objective: Support Vietnamese businesses to expand their market in China; maintain and expand the promotion of the image of Vietnamese agricultural products and foods, the national image, and the image of Vietnamese businesses with international customers and consumers; Seek opportunities for cooperation and investment in agricultural production, food processing, beverages, consumer goods, etc. Timely grasp the consumption trends of the Chinese market to expand and develop the market for Vietnamese agricultural and food products.
2. Scale: 10 - 15 businesses in the Vietnam Pavilion
3. Time: The fair takes place from October 31 - November 4, 2024
4. Location: Pazhou Exhibition Center Complex, Guangzhou, China
5. Product industry: Typical export products of Vietnam such as agricultural products, processed foods and beverages, all kinds of spices, etc.
6. Participants: Provinces/cities, industry associations, enterprises producing, processing and exporting fruits and vegetables, agricultural products, aquatic products, processed foods and beverages, and spices and food ingredients, OCOP 4-5* products, etc.
7. Requirements for registration documents to participate in the program: Registration documents include:
- Business registration certificate (copy of original, stamped by unit);
- Registration documents to participate;
- Business profile;
- List of participating personnel;
- Copies of international quality certificates of businesses and displayed products (ISO, HACCP, BRC, Kosher and other certificates);
- Images of booths and products displayed at international fairs;
8. Criteria for selecting participating businesses
- Submit registration documents and complete financial procedures on time;
- Design designs and packaging of display products suitable for export;
- Suitable participating personnel, able to communicate in English/especially Chinese, with experience in international transactions;
- Products are suitable and meet market standards (with all internationally recognized certificates);
- Have experience participating in booths at international fairs;
- Priority criteria: Enterprises that invest in factories, use processing lines, and apply technology in production; has experience and good export revenue into the Chinese market.
* In addition, the Organizing Committee will balance industries with strong export strengths to the Chinese market to select participating units.
9. Obligations of businesses when participating in the program
- Submit registration documents and complete financial obligations to participate with the Center fully and on time;
- Prepare adequate display goods and promotional materials at the Fair and arrange personnel to be on duty at the booth throughout the Fair. Responsible for sending appropriate personnel to participate in the Program and comply with the export and import regulations of the two countries;
- Strictly implement the rules and regulations of the Union Organizing Committee. Submit a report after the end of the Fair to the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center to summarize and report to relevant agencies according to regulations.
10. Expenses for participating in the Fair
10.1. State budget support costs for selected businesses:
- Booth space rental costs;
- Propaganda and advertising costs.
10.2. Expenses paid by businesses themselves when participating in the Fair:
- Service and union organization fees;
- Shipping fees, import taxes,... displayed goods;
- Cost of upgrading overall decoration for the booth area to promote and attract customers;
- Compulsory costs that the Organizing Committee stipulates for participating businesses (if any);
- Rental costs for additional equipment at the booth such as: freezer/refrigerator, stove, 24/24 power source or additional display equipment (if any);
- Cost of promotional materials and decoration in the enterprise's booth;
- Logistics costs for personnel participating in the program such as: two-way travel costs from Vietnam - Guangzhou (China), accommodation, travel, visas,...
11. Deadline to register to participate: Interested businesses should contact the Center for instructions on registering to participate. Deadline for submitting registration: July 15, 2024 (priority is given to arranging booths for businesses that submit applications early).
