Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister Tran Tuan Anh said that the Vietnam Online Shopping Program was organized annually under the direction of the Government. Minister Tran Tuan Anh emphasized that the Online Friday program has strongly promoted the development and breakthrough of e-commerce, as well as the digital economy in Vietnam, contributing to the development of the economy under the Government's orientation to promote technological advantages, seize the opportunity to bring about the Industrial Revolution 4.0 taking place worldwide today.
The 6th Vietnam Online Shopping Day program continues to build the foundation for the digital economy, becoming an important link for businesses in the e-commerce industry, from the distributors, the units. payment, providers of telecommunications infrastructure services, information technology, to manufacturing and retail businesses, together to create clear benefits for the people and consumers, building prestige credit for economic development activities of the Government.

Starting in 2014, with the total sales of participating businesses reaching over VND 160 billion, by 2018, the program has attracted more than 3,000 participating businesses with more than 27,000 items and products. genuine businesses are registered to participate; The total value of 24-hour commodity trading is estimated at over VND 2,000 billion with 1.8 million orders, attracting more than 25 million consumer interactions on the system and social networks. The Week of Digital Technology and E-Commerce Experience Week was also highly appreciated by businesses, consumers, news agencies, the press, media and social units. .
With a well-organized organization, Online Friday this year brings together many e-commerce exchanges such as Shopee, Tiki, Sendo, Voso, Sanhangre ..., manufacturing businesses such as Oppo, Habeco, ... and other Distributor of genuine goods and reputable Vietnamese brands. Goods launched on this occasion include essentials for Tet, household appliances, technology, cosmetics, genuine fashion, airline tickets, books and stationery.
In particular, there are 50,000 items from more than 1,000 brands launched with discount rates up to 70% on this occasion. The organizers are expected that strict quality control and this great incentive will be the motivation for this year's Online Friday to reach over VND 2,500 billion.
