The regulation applies to many products such as flaxseeds, almonds, apricot kernels, cassava roots (fresh, peeled), tapioca flour, cereals, dried fruit, roasted coffee, instant coffee, spices flavors, dried herbs… The above foods that were legally placed on the market before January 1, 2023 can still be marketed until their expiry date. On 4 August 2022, the European Commission issued Regulations (EU) 2022/1364 and 2022/1370 amending EC regulation 1881/2006 on maximum values of hydrocyanic acid and Ochratoxin A in certain products certain products.
