Energy-saving solutions applied at energy-using facilities have had great effectiveness, contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting the environment. Besides investing in technological innovation in production, the management and training of energy managers is an urgent task of each enterprise.

The Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy stipulates that key energy users must deploy an energy management network system and an energy manager. Therefore, to comply with the law while saving production costs, businesses need energy managers. The Ministry of Industry and Trade is the only unit authorized to issue certificates of energy managers through the training program under the National Target Program on economical and efficient use of energy.

In order to help businesses access training courses for energy managers and better understand the role of energy management in their units. In particular, the title of energy manager in key energy-using facilities is only appointed when such officer is granted an energy management certificate issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
