Vietnamese goods are gradually asserting their position in the Indonesian market with export turnover value increasing over time. The structure and list of Vietnam's export items to Indonesia are gradually being diversified and expanded with many key product groups such as: rice, coffee, canned vegetables and fruits, confectionery, seafood, chemical products, raw plastics, footwear of all kinds, textile raw materials, footwear, iron and steel of all kinds... computers, electronic products and components are currently the leading groups of goods in terms of export turnover to the Indonesian market... In 2024, bilateral trade turnover and Vietnam's export turnover to Indonesia will both reach their highest levels ever. The value of bilateral trade turnover will reach 16.7 billion USD, an increase of 21.2% compared to 2023 and export turnover will reach 6.19 billion USD, an increase of 22%. In the first quarter of 2025, bilateral trade turnover between the two countries reached 4.2 billion USD, an increase of 16.8% over the same period in 2024.
Vietnam's exports to the Indonesian market still have a lot of room to exploit and promote with the perseverance and methodical business strategy of the Vietnamese business community. To introduce, promote products and penetrate the Indonesian market, one of the effective methods for domestic enterprises is to participate in international exhibitions and fairs in this country.
