With the support of the Government of Australia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the World Bank (WB) cooperated to start the construction of FTAP from February 2019. So far, Vietnam has signed 14 regional and bilateral Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) (of which 13 are being implemented), has concluded negotiation 1 and is negotiating 02 Agreements with other parties. other. Among these FTAs, there are 2 new generation FTAs, namely CPTPP and EVFTA. After completing the negotiated FTAs, it can be said that Vietnam has established free trade relations with most of the most important partner countries in the world (except the United States), creating a solid foundation for strengthening and promoting bilateral trade-investment exchanges as well as strengthening international economic integration in the region and globally. In the context of deepening international integration, along with the strong development of Technology 4.0, the idea of ​​a self-contained FTA in Vietnam allows businesses to sit in one seat. being able to look up all the necessary information, especially commitments related to taxes, rules of origin, services and investments, etc. is essential. With the support of the Government of Australia and the World Bank, the Portal on Vietnam's FTAs ​​has been built on the model of the Government's FTA Portal. Australia.

With the establishment of the Portal on Vietnam's FTAs, this is the first time that Vietnam has an intelligent, innovative and meaningful search tool for FTA commitments and related information. greatly in helping the business community and the people make the most of the opportunities from the FTAs ​​that Vietnam has participated in, sending an important message about the determination of the Government of Vietnam to implement the FTAs ​​in a way. most effective through important features. Specifically, FTAP is capable of integrating information in Vietnam's multilateral, regional and bilateral free trade agreements into an intelligent and user-friendly search system. Accordingly, in terms of trade in goods, this portal allows businesses and people to look up the results of tax rates, tax reduction schedule for each specific item under Vietnam's FTAs ​​with other partners, market size characteristics, rules of origin for preferential treatment and procedures to be taken and non-tariff measures that businesses should take into account in the export / import process of that item, etc. Regarding trade in services - investment, this portal allows businesses and people to look up results of commitments to opening the service market - investment related to each service sector / sub-sector or Non-service by service delivery mode as well as information on committed and current relevant legal documents, etc. This will create an important premise for businesses and people to get necessary information quickly and accurately, thereby making the most of the opportunities brought by these FTAs.

FTAP will regularly update the situation and results of the implementation of the FTA Agreements of Vietnam from the regulators at the meetings of the Council and Committees concerned in these Agreements; Legal documents implementing the Vietnam FTA Agreements issued by the regulator will be fully updated on the FTA portal; Data or information on markets with FTA with Vietnam will be regularly updated based on reliable information sources; Conferences, seminars or training courses in the form of live and online will be regularly updated so that businesses or interested organizations and individuals can register to participate.
